Portuguese Old style graphite pencils

£12.00

For the nostalgic writer, just like Henry Thoreau's pencils, some of the earliest American modern made utensils of the kind we now take for granted, these are packaged as they would have been in 1841, a dozen general writing graphite pencils tied together in a little neat faggot. This defunct style of packaging is being continued by the wonderfully retro Viarco of Porto, Portugal - a family company stuck in a time warp, and all the while bubbling with creative energy and invention.
